This is a solid piece of a wood named Ash with the natural edges of the wood intact. The bark has been removed, the edges smoothed, and the wood is planed flat. The dimensions are 13" x 8-1/2" and 1-1/8" thick. It can be used as a cutting board but also may be used as a serving piece. There are rubber feet on the bottom to elevate the piece off the the counter top. The finish involves multiple layers of mineral oil.
